Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately. Adam and I have made the biggest decision in our lives and we’re so excited.. we’re adopting a baby! We start our home study in 2 weeks and after that we’ll start being presented to birth mothers! After that it’s just a matter of waiting for a BM to pick up. Our lawyer says she’s very confident in us being picked fast (by summer) so BabyLand is just around the corner for us. We are so excited to become parents, we’ve been trying for 5 years this month. Hopefully we’ll be picked by a birth mother quickly so we can breeze through this situation as soon as possible. The ideal situation would be if someone knew someone who was pregnant and planning to place the baby for adoption - then it would be a lot easier, less expensive, and we’d have the opportunity to get to know the mother a little more.
We started our registries at Babies R Us, Pottery Barn Kids, and Target. (Megan & Adam Martignago)
We are elated to be parents-to-be. We can’t wait and I can’t wait to take you on our journey with us.

Adam and I have decided that 2013 is going to be the year for #TeamMarti. We are going on vacation next week to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and when we come back we are hoping to submit our packet for our homestudy. To do that we need to save/raise/begborroworsteal $1200. Once we complete our homestudy we can start applying for grants and interest free loans. Every day that passes is a day closer to us holding our little miracle and we are so excited to be parents. We learned today that the average wait for a domestic adoption in 2012 was only 6-9 months. Wow! We love everyone who has supported us so far and thank you for continuing to do so. We are very lucky to have such amazing family/friends here to support us. If you don’t mind, please share this link on your Facebook, blog, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. Tell your friends, family, congregation, dentist, paperboy, hair stylist, neighbor, and anyone else with ears about us! In stead of your Starbucks tomorrow, help us become a family :) We are so excited to start the homestudy that we can barely contain it! Once we have that in the bag, we can start making big moves! They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time and they challenged each other everyday. But despite their differences, they had one very important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.
